National Conference Registration Information

Updated 07.15.2023

Teams Save 30%

A team is a group of TWO or more people from the same LHAT Member organization -- staff, board, or volunteers. All registrants have full conference access, but only the primary contact votes at the Annual Meeting. Teams save 30% off total conference registration fees.

Teams do not have to register at the same time, but the Team rate only applies to the second and all additional registrants. The first registrant must pay the Full Conference Registration fee.

Please use a separate registration form for each person. If registering online, submit multiple online registrations using the group registration feature or submit each registration individually. You do not have to use group registration to access the Team Rate for your second and any additional registrants.

Family members and guests can qualify as team members, but you may not combine the team discount and family/spouse/guest discounts.

Sponsors Attend Free

Complimentary conference registration is included as a benefit for Sponsors investing $2,500 or more.

Join LHAT & Benefit All Year

While the League invites non-members to attend our annual conference and theatre tour, membership in the League of Historic American Theatres ensures that organizations benefit from more than attending a single conference.

Learn how membership can benefit your organization.

Member Spouse / Family Registration

Anyone registering for the full conference at the spouse/family/guest rate may attend every conference event, but they may not vote at the Annual Meeting. If your spouse, family members or guests do not wish to attend every event, you may purchase guest tickets for them to attend only certain events (Opening Night Cocktail Reception, Dinner & Awards ceremony (Sunday), Eye Opener Breakfasts (Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday), Expo & Reception (Monday), Networking Cocktail Reception (Tuesday) and Closing Party (Wedednesday)).

When registering online, you will be asked to select guest tickets as part of the "select sessions" page or see "Guest Tickets" section of the printed registration form.

You may also purchase tickets for your guests to attend the Pre-Conference Theatre Ramble at the member rate (just indicate total quantity needed). To purchase tickets for your guests to attend the baseball game, please just indicate the number of total tickets needed when you register.

Single Day Registrations

Single day registrations for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday include admission to all tours, educational offerings, meal functions, and receptions on the day for which you register.

There is no single day registration for Sunday. If you will not be registering for anything else during the conference, please just purchase a Guest Ticket for the Opening Night Reception, Dinner, Awards Ceremony. If we have space, you may also pre-register for the Early Bird Sessions, however, if the sessions are full, people registered for the full conference will be given priority.

All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the League of Historic American Theatres.

Refunds may take up to 3 weeks to process.

Health & Safety Protocols

LHAT will be following health and safety protocols (if any) in place in Kansas City during the conference. At this time, whether or not to wear a mask during the LHAT conference will be at each individual attendee's discretion. Neither masks nor proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required. This is subject to change at any time. Registered attendees will be notified if/when these policies change. Before registering, we recommend you check this section of our website to check the current status of these policies.

Please be respectful of your fellow attendees and their choices. Everyone's comfort level with social interactions is different.

When registering, all attendees will be required to read and accept the following:

By registering to attend the LHAT conference, I agree that I will abide by any and all health and safety protocols and/or restrictions (e.g., masking, vaccination proof) IF they have been mandated during the LHAT Conference dates by the Sheraton Crown Center hotel, any theatres or venues that will be toured, the City of Kansas City or State of Missouri. In the best interest of all attendees, I agree to remove myself from the conference if I have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last seven days (even if you are not experiencing any symptoms), if I feel ill, or I start experiencing any symptoms during the conference. If I start to experience symptoms, I will notify an LHAT staff member before I leave so they can assess the impact it may have on other attendees.

I understand that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. LHAT is following all local COVID guidelines to safely conduct this event. By attending the LHAT Conference, I understand I voluntarily assume all risks related to potential exposure to COVID-19.
