The League's annual EXPO & Reception allows service providers and suppliers to meet representatives from more than 125 historic theatres, to discover their needs and "put a face with a name" during a premiere conference event. The Expo is designed as a reception with drinks and desserts, which lends itself to a less formal feeling, low-pressure opportunity for theatres to learn about firms that provide the goods and services historic theatres need most.
Attendees from "emerging" theatre projects enjoy the personal attention they receive when they arrive full of questions, and attendees from fully operational theatres are curious about products and services they can use to help them operate more efficiently and/or plan and implement their next renovation project.
Because the LHAT EXPO takes place on only one afternoon of the conference for a limited time (2.5 hours) and there are no other competing conference events, the majority of attendees show up and stay for the entire EXPO.
Rather than booths and pipe & drape, LHAT's EXPO features tabletop exhibits, and every exhibitor receives the same amount of space -- regardless of firm size -- for displaying their materials. Display brochures, photos, product samples, presentations on laptops or a video monitor, etc. on a table or opt not to have a table at all and bring your own display setup, e.g. retractable banners, poster boards. Typically, each exhibitor gets a space about 9' wide x 4' deep, but we'll do our best to give every exhibitor as much space as we can, while keeping all of the spaces uniform in size.
