Since joining the League's staff in 1998, Colleen has worn many hats! Initially responsible for membership recruitment and retention, she developed and implemented programs designed to deliver a variety of services to LHAT members, including managing content for the League's online and print communications and resources and starting its private online community - the LHAT-CHAT Network. She administered development of and maintained the League’s website from 2009-2013.

Colleen’s current roles include planning and coordinating all of the League’s events, and marketing and coordinating event registration and logistics. She also administers the League's database and online member directory and continues to serve members with database searches and other needs.

Colleen’s prior experiences include facilitating the setup of, acquiring licensing for, and subsequently operating a new assisted living facility for the elderly; working for a commercial real estate development and property management company, handling tenant relations and leasing commercial office space; running the operations of a residential construction company; and managing a law office and real estate title company.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Colleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from Loyola College in Maryland, with a major in History and a minor in Business. She continues to live in Baltimore with her husband, J.P.

Fun facts: Colleen met J.P. the same week in 1998 that she started at the League! J.P. subsequently joined the LHAT staff for eight years, and he proposed to Colleen at the Closing Banquet of the League’s 2000 National Conference in San Francisco!
