Theresa joined the League staff in November 2013 with over 15-years of experience in print and digital marketing. The daughter of two small business owners, Theresa started out her marketing career creating and distributing advertising fliers for both of her parents’ businesses. She attended college to obtain her degree in Civil Engineering, but found the experience unfulfilling and decided to work as a temporary employee until such time as she found her calling. Upon entering the corporate world, she found herself working as a marketing assistant at a major financial institution. Showing a great deal of aptitude for marketing, she quickly found herself in roles with increasing responsibility and by the time she transitioned out of the financial industry she was working on high profile marketing campaigns for one of the largest financial institutions in the United States.

In 2000, Theresa first started her transition into the digital world by studying Web Design and Development at the University of Delaware in their Web Master's certification program. At the time she was still working for a financial institution and had hoped to use that as leverage to transition into the new world of online banking. She did not successfully transition into her career in the digital world until she left her career in the financial sector and returned to her roots by providing marketing and support in the construction and real estate industries. It was during her tenure with a Delaware home builder that she started to transition into digital marketing and decided to pursue her degree in information technology. Still wanting to create, but finding the disciplined world of code exhilarating, she chose to get her degree in information technology with visual communications concentration which she completed in 2010. From there she used her technical and marketing background with an agency as a client manager/web development project manager before finding her way to the League.

Since joining the League, Theresa has had greater and greater involvement in the digital world. Responsible for the website redesign project in 2005, she has become more and more engrossed in the technical workings and creative content development of the League. In 2020, Theresa took the initiative to improve upon her digital skills (and learn some new tricks) by enrolling in a Full Stack Web Developer Certification program at the University of Arizona, which she completed January 2021.

Theresa has always had a passion for history and was involved in the reconstruction and restoration of a historic home that had been severely damaged by fire in Christiana, DE. She spent a couple of years in England touring and researching historic sites across the country, even becoming a member of English Heritage and holds property and the title of Lady of Dunans as a result of her contribution to restoration of Dunans Castle in Glendaruel, Scotland.

Theresa got married just before joining the League and now lives in Arizona with her husband and two daughters.
