Regional Conferences

The League typically hosts two regional conferences each year, one in the spring and one in the fall, in different locations across the United States. Regional conferences provide intensive, intimate professional development and networking experiences, and the condensed format fits into participants' busy schedules. Members of the League's national Board of Directors act as the conference presenters and share practical and pertinent insights based on their experiences as leaders in the historic theatre field.

Typical conference topics include: The Historic Theatre Advantage; Making the Case for Investment; Raising Capital Campaign Money; Film Presentation 101: Programming, Promotion and Projection; Writing Contracts, Operations Basics; Maximizing Concession Profits; Marketing Q & A; Responsibilities of Nonprofit Boards; Historic Theatre Renovation 101; Reducing Risk and Other Insurance Issues.



2018 Spring Regional Conference Gettysburg, PA

Following its quarterly board meeting, the League's National Board of Directors is hosting a 1.5 day Regional Conference to discuss historic theatre best practices from around the nation.

In addition to networking with LHAT Board members, participants are attending engaging educational sessions that provide practical and pertinent insights led by the leaders in the field of historic theatre restoration, renovation and maintenance as well as theatre operations and fundraising.
