Michael R. Schnoering, AIA is a Partner with Mills + Schnoering Architects, LLC, a full service architectural firm with broad experience in the planning and design of new buildings and historic preservation. He manages many of the firm's theater and educational projects, as well as large government contracts. In his work with historic theatres, he is particularly focused on the overall design and construction processes, including project planning, budgeting and fundraising, program development, site design, and project scheduling. He is also interested in engaging with owners and managers of mid-century Modern theatres to help them understand and enhance their newly historic buildings.
Currently, Mr. Schnoering is working with the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, CO; the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ; the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA; and the Lansdowne Theater in Lansdowne, PA.
Mr. Schnoering holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and is a Registered Architect in New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, Florida, Missouri, Washington DC, and Colorado. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Cultural Access Network (a project of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance) and the William Trent House Association, and is a Past Chair of the Yardley Borough (PA) Historic Architectural Review Board.
