director of a nonprofit service association.

librarian at a university, community, or scholarly

arts council, Main Street Program, or historical society.

fund raiser, artist representative, theatre company,
performer.

who loves historic architecture and theatres!
LHAT
is a network of hundreds of people like you who love
historic theatres. We're working in cities and towns
all over North America and beyond to rescue theatres,
restore them, and keep them operating.
Some
LHAT members have been at it for more than twenty years;
others are just beginning. Some are trained specialists,
others are talented and dedicated amateurs. All of us
are helping our communities by keeping the arts alive.
And we have one more thing in common -- we're eager
to share our energy and our expertise with you.
Membership

make sure you don't have to reinvent the wheel--we'll
help you solve problems and direct you to the best goods
and services designed specifically for historic theatres.
The League is recognized--and respected--by foundations,
city councils, and state and federal agencies. So joining
the League is a smart financial decision.

Which Category Is Right for Me?
You
should join as a Theatre member if:
- you
own or operate a historic theatre, or
- you
are a community, grass roots or "Friends of"
organization attempting to rescue, purchase, lease,
operate, restore or reuse a historic theatre.
You
should join as a Service Provider member if you
supply services, goods or expertise to historic theatres.
Examples of types of service providers:
- acoustical
consultants/designers
- architectural
firms and photographers
- artist
representatives and performers
- construction
managers and general contractors
- facilities
managers
- fund
raising and economic consultants
- lighting,
seating or marquee manufacturers and restorers
- restoration
artisans - ornamental plasterers, decorative painters
- suppliers
and installers of motion picture equipment, stage
equipment, rigging, draperies, lifts
- theatre
design consultants, interior designers, space planners,
engineers
- suppliers
of ticketing services, software, internet ticketing
You
should join as a Government Agencies and Preservation Organizations
member if you are:
- A
library
- An
arts or preservation organization
- A
government agency that supports the rehabilitation
and operation of historic theatres.
In
order to receive all the benefits that membership for
theatres offers, organizations that own or operate a
historic theatre, or who plan to in the future, should
choose a theatre level membership instead.
You
should join as an Individual if you love historic
theatres and support their rescue and restoration, but
you are not the primary representative of a theatre.
You
should join as a Student if you are enrolled
full-time in an educational facility. You must supply
a copy of an active student ID card with your registration
to qualify for membership at this level
These
categories are not for organizations (staff or supporters)
that own or operate historic theatres or professionals
who provide goods and services to them. Please choose
the appropriate theatre or service provider membership
category instead.
