Toland first joined EverGreene in 1987 as a decorative painter and assistant foreman, where he developed a passion for theatre restoration. After three years, he transitioned to his family’s construction business, specializing in the restoration of landmark masonry and cast-iron facades. In 2011, he returned to EverGreene, leading major theatre restoration projects as Senior Project Manager, including the restoration of Kings Theatre and other iconic venues like the United States Capitol and the Cooper Hewitt Museum. He became the company’s first Director of Project Management, overseeing numerous landmark restorations in the arts and cultural sector. In 2019, Toland became Vice President of Building Operations for Jujamcyn Theaters, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s merger with ATG Entertainment. He later advanced to Director of Building Operations, North America, continuing to oversee major theatre projects across the USA. In 2024, Toland returned to EverGreene as President and Chief Operating Officer.
